Easy-Peasy, Super-Duper, Uber Good Breakfast Food

My home dwellers love breakfast food. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, waffles or pancakes, french toast, I could go on but I think you get the point by now. So when I pulled from my memory something wonderfully delicious from childhood, and made them, the crowd cheered.

I love breakfast food, but I don't do morning well, so therefore rising before the sun rises and getting a six course meal on the table is not a favorite pastime. Most important meal or not.

Back to the point. Sausage balls. Now some of you, maybe all of you have had these marvelous little creations. They are marvelous because they only have three ingredients, you put them in the oven and it does the work, while you go and nurse a cup of hot chocolate or coffee if you are so inclined.

Sausage Balls

I pound of your favorite Sausage (Turkey sausage works well too)
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups of Bisquick Mix

Preheat oven at 350 degrees.

Put all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and start mashing it together. I realize that you have to touch it (my least favorite part), but it has to get all blended together. Keep folding ingredients all together until you have one large lump of meat-cheese-bisquick. Form into balls. Place on a cookie sheet about an inch apart, and bake for approximately 10-12 minutes. All ovens vary, so watch them to make sure you don't over cook. They should be a dark tan color. Makes approximately 4 dozen.

These are really yummy and you can serve them with boiled eggs and it makes a great breakfast and fuels up your family.

You can also serve these as an appetizer or give the kids a few for an afternoon snack.

I know you all want to submit me to become the next great star on Food Network because of my oh-so technical terms like: mashing it together or one large lump of meat-cheese-bisquick, but please don't. I wouldn't want all that attention. ~Smile~
