Lovin' It

I am loving the whole cloth diapering thing. I am loving it so much that I wanted to try cloth wipes as well, so I had a spare piece of fleece laying around (rather big too) and so last night a chopped it up to make cloth wipes. I cut a small area a couple of days ago so that I could try it out before cutting all of it up and wasting all that fleece. I loved them and so does Daniel so I cut up the rest of it and ended up with about 30 cloth wipes. . . . pardon me a moment, someone is wailing. . . .

okay, clean diaper, nursing, happy baby--one handed typing for mama. . where was I??

Oh, yes, 30 cloth diapers. We are loving it. The fleece is so soft and when used with warm water, well, hey who wouldn't want that?? I do tons of laundry anyway, so what's an extra load or three a week?!?! I lose count anyway. I am loving the fact that I am saving money with every change and I am getting better everyday with the changes (at first I am sure Daniel wondered what in the world I was doing). So that is where we stand with cloth diapers.

Update on Daniel's weight. . . he is now up to 9 pounds and 1 ounce. Growing, growing, growing. As much as he eats I am not surprised. He slept 6 and a half hours last night and I am loving that, too.

This concludes this post. Have a happy day!!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Maybe you are a long time lurker and already know this, but I'm in love with cloth wipes! I make mine out of flannel. You can see some of the things I use them for here:

And I don't even have any kids in diapers!!

I bought some used receiving blankets and made them into cloth wipes. Chris usually grabs a regular one first, but since I change him more often than Chris does, I'm still saving money, right? :)

(Chris just doesn't want to take the time to go get it wet, that's all)

Sounds like Linton. He doesn't want to use cloth wipes because he doesn't want to get it wet and I change Daniel more often. Well all the time when he's in cloth.
