"Gimme Sum of Dat Pwease"

Yesterday while I was loading the dishwasher, Samuel pilfered an apple from the bin. He came and went in stealth, because I didn't even know he had it until I came out to the living room and he was crunching away. Now normally I don't mind if they just grab an apple to go, but Sam, he has a tendency not to finish them when they aren't cut. Since we're not made out of money, I would prefer he not just grab and go. But it was already being devoured and so I let him continue.

I sat down at the dining room table and was talking to a friend on the phone, and I have a perfect view of the living room from the table, and it was quieter were I was sitting. I looked up at Daniel in the exersaucer and he his head was bent over as far as it would go, but I couldn't tell what he was doing.

I got up and came closer and realized that Samuel had abandoned the apple--on the exersaucer.

Daniel was thrilled. He was licking that apple for all it was worth. It was so funny!

Obviously, Daniel is very approving of Honey Crisp apples.

He licked that apple for a very long time and finally got frustrated because he wasn't getting enough. Mama took it away and then he was really mad. I quickly came with a bottle and happiness was present again.

I have a feeling that Samuel will share his apples more often.

that is hilarious! have you seen nibblers? It's a popsicle looking thingy that has a mesh pocket you put whole pieces of fruit in like an apple chunk for babies to nibble on. I haven't bought one yet, but I will :)

Aww, I just love when little ones find something they really live. What a great big brother to share :)
