Babywearing Stash Talk

A great mama, Steph at Adventures in Babywearing is having a stash show and tell today. My stash is small, but I am hoping to add a couple in the near future. I am a novice at babywearing. Please, all of you babywearing pro's, don't hold this post against me.

I truly adore wearing Daniel. He truly adores it too. Most of the time. I have to say that wearing him has often times kept me from immobility and I actually got some stuff done!! But it also gives us lots of cuddling time. I also use my wrap a lot at church since we don't have the infant car seat anymore and he wants to crawl away during the sermon.

My stash only consists of two items in the babywearing gear department. A Wallababy Ring Sling and an Organic Moby Wrap.

Moby is on the left. I am sorry for the quality of the picture, I lost my camera, so I had to use my phone.

I really loved using my ring sling when he was little, but now, he is so wiggly I am afraid he isn't secure enough. Mind you, I am sure it's mama error. We are still figuring out the hip carry.

The Moby Wrap I love because he feels so secure. Every time I would wear him, when he was younger, in it he would fall asleep, whether it was nap time or not. We both like this one because of the security. He doesn't sleep in it as much now, because he wants to be forward facing, watching the world go by.

I am really wanting to add a Mei Tei to the stash, I think that would give me more security for his age and weight than the ring sling. I have been playing on the Baby Hawk website, creating slings, so fun!! That will be my next big baby purchase.

Thanks for listening to the ramblings of a novice babywearer and if you have any suggestions to help this mama out, feel free to comment away!!

Don't even tempt me to head over to the baby hawk site!! I am such a mei tai girl!

(Oh and can you put your link up again in the linky at my post? The first one didn't work!)

I have spent a lot of time on various websites, playing around with baby carrier designs. It's a great way for me to scratch the itch without spending any money.

For what it's worth I do love my mei tais, they are my go-to carriers. And the Baby Hawks are so pretty. :)

I have the same issue with my ring sling with my son - I can pretty much keep him secure in a front or hip carry, but a back carry is out of the question! I also have a stretchy wrap that works MUCH better. :)

That's exactly how I feel about my wrap! So secure and it definitely calms my boy!

Have you looked at the Beco? Pretty, pretty fabric choices and much more comfortable than the Babyhawk. I have both! :)

I loved, loved, loved wearing Avery in the Moby. I miss it. :( I have a Hotsling that I used sometimes, and I liked it as well.
