I have been totally swamped with stuff this week and so I think my brain is on a temporary vacation. Hopefully it's temporary. So I am going to post my tip of the day and head to bed. Maybe some decent sleep will help.
Heart Tip of the Day: Pump some iron! Strength training does more than build muscle (and burn fat), it also strengthens your heart and helps it to beat more efficiently--something that can't hurt. Doing a strength training routine 2-3 times per week can lower your risk of heart disease, increase blood flow and generally make you feel better.
I have been doing strength training as part of the Great Slim Down of '09 and I really enjoy it and I feel myself getting stronger. If you don't have any weights (small ones will do) you can always tote around a kid or three and that should do it!!
