A Year of Projects

I belong to a really great site online called Ravelry. It's a place where yarn crafters from all over the world share patterns, ideas, pictures of projects and just chat. One of the groups is a group of bloggers who challenge themselves with a years worth of projects with a weekly blog post update. July 1st kicked off a year of projects and I'm proud to say I'm joining them this year. As you all know I crochet for enjoyment, relaxation, for creativity and to keep my hands moving. But I also make crochet items for my business. The projects that I'm listing here are for my pleasure. Some are for my immediate and extended family, some of them are for Christmas gifts and a couple things are just to challenge me, help me out of the crochet comfort zone. I'm excited about all the fun things I'm going to try.

Without further ado, here is my possibly over ambitious list:

Finish this shawl (I put it down during the 100 degree weather)
This happy little sting wray is my first attempt at animals and it is for my son's birthday
This pair of socks, again, another first attempt

This is the point in the post that I ran out of time when it comes linking projects.  ~Smile~  So as I progress through the year you will see more, promise.

5 pairs of these slippers (possibly more, depends on how well these go)
This bag, I'm in love with it and decided I needed it
This cowl-gift This cowl-gift This neck warmer for me
Two of these cute little pumpkins
This little hat-gift Dishrags, I don't even know how many because they are for gifts
This Hello Kitty Hat for my daughter for Christmas
These hats for my boys for Christmas
A hexagon afghan-gift This stash basket/bag for me
This hat for Hubs for Christmas
This purse for my daughter and three more for her friends iPad sleeve
Newborn size chicken hat
Two sock monkey hats-gifts
Three baby washcloths-gift
Some of these for my kitchen
And a couple of these too, my kitchen
And two of these, I just love these owls

For charity:
20 baby hats for distribution in October for the local Thrive Pregnancy Center
30 baby hats for January

Like I said, this may be a little ambitious but I'm going to give it a go.  I am so excited!!!!

Great eclectic list. I love the stingray pattern. And I also love owls so will have to pop back to see which pattern you'll use.
